Is the Apex WS as quiet as everyone says?
I hear this is the quietest exhaust out there. I am interested in one, but I hope it is as quiet as people say. I heard one on a prelude and it was no louder than stock. I wonder if it is that way on our integras. So is it quiet as stock? Even more so than the RSR? Thanks.

yes the Apexi WS is very quiet.. but personally if you could find an RS*R.. i would get an og RS*R.. those are rare and very nice build quality.. my friend has had one on his prelude since 1995 or 1996.. his RS*R is real nice.. and quiet too..
I think comptech exhausts are more quiet than apex ws and the ITR exhaust is even more quiet than any of those. I believe mugen twin loop is as quiet as a stock exhaust as well.
i have an ITR, to me theres no point in spending over 400 dollars on something thats gonna get you 1-2 horsepower. I love my ITR, wont get you pulled over either, nice and stealth.
The WS is probably one of the most quiet exhausts out there except for stock ones like the ITR.

my homie has one on his civc and its really nice. well built and damn quiet. when u give it some gas makes a really nice sound.....a quiet one. but i agree with the other guy....if u can findan rsr get that..... that i probably the most quiet aftermarket exhaust ive ever heard..
It is no way as quiet as stock, everyone says that but it is not true, at least in my case anyway. I have a 94 ls and i love my apexi ws. At idle there is a very quiet, yet deep tone, but when you are driving it is definitely noticable. At WOT it blends so nicely with my AEM CAI. I definitely recommend it for anybody who wants a nice tone to their car. I think it looks great too... see pic

If you want the most out of your turbo, I don't think the WS would be a good choice. For one thing I don't think it's a straight-through muffler. You could get something like an A'PEXi N1 turbo exhaust and it wouldn't be all that loud because the turbo itself makes the exhaust alot quieter than it would be otherwise. One of my friends just put the N1 turbo catback on his Eclipse GS-T and it sounds real nice, not much louder than stock at all.
It is damn quiet compared to most exhausts available. It emits a quiet, smooth, low murmur at idle, and really isnt too noticeable during daily driving. When you punch it, it sounds great. Not buzzy, not annoying, but nice and deep.

Anyway, if you think about it, just about anything is better than what I had before with my turbo....STOCK! It's not straight thru, but I have a Apexi Dunk canister in my garage that I can throw on any time.
Looking for some opinions...
I currently have been doing the cat-back shuffle. I did have a Tanabe racing medallion on my car but I found that to be very noisy during highway driving. City driving was quiet (relatively speaking). So in an effort to reduce the noise I went and got a DC cat-back. Now I have just the opposite problem. Highway driving is quite and city driving is noisy. Whenever I accelerate is buzzes loudly through the cabin. I've take some steps to try and kill the sound in the trunk area but with little success. So now I'm in a quandary about what to do. I want to give the DC cat-back a change because the Tanabe exhaust did get a little quieter over time. I'm hoping the same may happen with the DC but I'm not as optimistic. I will say this, I really enjoyed the sound of the Tanabe at the high RPMs.
So should I start fresh with something like the Apexi? At this point I'm half thinking of putting the Tanabe back on. Anyone else with a DC cat-back have a similar experience?
