Default ef9 or crx?

i got about 1500 saved up and i was wondering which one would be a better buy jus wnated your suggestions

The only factor would be if you need the rear seats, other than that the support for parts on both cars are really strong. And all performance parts between the two are interchangeable.

whichever you can find that looks the best and is the cheapest.

I personally like the Civic for the fact that I take alot of people in my car on a regular basis, and the CRX only has 2 seats.

what is the weight diffrance between the 2 becosue i am also at the same point i have my engine im buildng up and im picking up my tranny saterday now i need to find a car

about 50 pounds difference.
ef hatch would be my preference

i prefer the look of the crx my self but i see so many of themi think the ef might be the way to go with this project since there so close in weight

for having owned both models i would go for the ef hatch si if u can cuz thats what started the whole civic nation thang!! but crx rock 2!!

weight shouldn't be a matter of which car as much as which years. 88-89 ef are much lighter than 90-91. Even the 4 doors aren't that much heavier. I say 4 door sleeper, very few people will see that coming.

I just had to make the same decision..there arent too many ef8's out here so i went with the crx...well and also because it came with b16 and ITB's heh

ef9 and crx are the same thing.its just ef9 is jdm chassis code.crx in the us has ed chassis code.if im worng someone please correct me.

ef9 is the civic hatchback with back seats. it is also an ed in us.

ef8 is the civic crx
