i have driven both for a while and would say that the EK seems more comfortable, but the EG has a boy racer quality to it. the EF feels more it wants to be gutted and run like a litle biotch.
I hope this helps, but listed below is a quick pro and con list. Good luck with your project!!!!
EK Pros
- Newer chassis
- Easier to find one with low miles
- Nicer body (in my oppion)
- Easier to find a clean car (body and chassis) because it is not 10+ years old
- Lots of parts
EK Cons
- Heavier chassis
- More $
EG Pros
- Lighter Chassis
- Lots of parts
- Cheaper
EG Cons
- Hard to find a clean untouched car
- lots of miles

it depends on what your plans are for the car. If you're planning on getting the car, doing a swap, upgrading all the suspension parts, bushings, etc, then it doesn't really matter that an EG is older. If you're going to leave it relatively stock and just do visual or minor mods than a newer car might be a better choice. It's getting hard to find a nice EG these days though. Most have either been modded and beaten to death, or driven 250,000 miles and are getting ragged looking.
My advice, define a budget, define what your plans are and start looking at different cars (EK and EG). When you run across one that fits your expectaions buy it and don't look back.
