Default Axle too short?

I have a 90 hatch with a zc engine, zc tranny, and the correct zc intermediate shaft. I am also using 91 integra axles. I replaced the drivers side axle today with an autozone rebuild and noticed that I barely had a couple of threads coming through the hub. So I went ahead and put the axle nut on (it pulled the axle the rest of the way through) Then I noticed that the rotor wouldn't turn. I loosened the axle nut and it turned fine. Everything looks ok, but it feels like someone is holding the brake when the axle nut is tightened. The passenger side spins fine. What gives?

take the little rubber dust ring off the outer CV joint - it is binding up in the hub

Just remove the dust cap rings from the ends of the axles and theres also some on the inside of your hub...they pop right of with a flat head screwdriver.
