I'm going to get a jdm h22a soon, all I need is a very reputable dealer. With this much money and this much time I want everything to be perfict. I'm also not sure if I will get a regular jdm h22a w/ lsd tranny or if I will get a type s with a hydro tranny. what do you guys think? The main question here is where is a top of the line engine dealer that you know you won't get screwed at? do they exist? I've heard hondamotorsonline is a one man opperation, so thats a lil shadey, I've heard that ard performance is good but they are a 1,000 dollars more then anyone else. I've also heard that jdmclub is a little shadey as well, and there prices are some of the lowest around. street imports.com is decent, and I'd think about going with them, but they haven't been real easy to get a hold of recently. Finally there are a few shops close to me...one told me 32oo for a type s complete swap plus tax... but then I talked to anouther shop around here who some of my friends are kinda friends with them and they said that the first shop is known to take mid bearings and a few other small things out. the seccond shop is "preparing" an estamte for me. All I want is a strong reliable eninge, and I'm willing to pay a little more for the qualityif needed.... this is frustrating, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to be one of those "search button" guys, but this is a pretty well discussed topic... when I bought my motor I just did a search and found all the info I needed.

I bought a motor from Streetimports.com and they were great to deal with.

I'm currently doing the h22a swap into my S and I'm just waiting for some good weather to get the motor installed...

Why don't you go through JDMhondaparts? They price match and they have a really good reputation.
