Default Which spring should be longer?

Which spring should be longer and have more coils - the front or the rear?
I recently got a set of lowering springs fitted and the rear is sitting very low, where as the front does not seem to be lowered much at all. I'm just wondering if they are fitted back to front - the rear sping has about 7 coils (equally spaced), and the front has about 13 coils (wide at the bottom and close at the top).
They are fitted to a '96 Civic Coupe.
Any opinions?
