Just picked up a 4L bottle of 5100 for $31 American after taxes. I don't know if this is good or not.

I buy a gallon at a time plus an extra bottle as the superhawk takes 4.2 liters... Don't think that cost me more then $15... that's 10w40 honda gn4 from the dealer...

I ordered mine from a Direct Line (http://www.hondadirectline.com/).
It was $36.99 for 12 quarts. That's roughly $12.33 per gallon. I'm not sure what the pricing is now (they don't seem to have it listed), but I imagine it's roughly the same. They have both flavors of GN4 - 10w40 and 20w50 (better for our SuperHawks). When I placed my order, I did so with two other parties. The deal the company offered was free shipping for any order over $100. With three orders, we had free shipping. Maybe you could find some other locals to get in on the deal. It's not a runaway deal, but it's not bad. My local shop was charging $18 / gallon for the same stuff.
I don't believe the SuperHawk takes that much oil. IIRC, it's 3.2 gallons for an oil change and 3.4 if you change the filter too. Even for a complete engine teardown, it should only be about 3.7.

easy to come by since autozone and advanced both sell it.

Simple Honda 10W40 from the dealer. Cheap, easy and offers the same protection as all the expensive synthetics in the 1500 miles I use it before changing. I like to use my money on upgrading the bike and not dumping it into the oil recycling center.
