tranny question

Default tranny question

k so i took my tranny off my d16a6 and tried to put it on my d16z6.. so why the hell wont it go one.. i tried for an hour and nothin is workin.. same block.. the all measure up the same.. we keep moving the piece to try to line it up but it just wont line up.. any help would be great thanks

try putting it in gear so the main shaft wont turn.what do u mean by wont go on?

Did you align your clutch? If the clutch disc isnt aligned correctly, the imput shaft wont slip into it and you wont be able to bolt on the tranny.

i moved the thing on the tranny to try to align it with the clutch.. because there both d series is there going to be any problem with the clutches?

What year clutch and tranny are you using? Assuming youre using an 88 tranny, you have to use an 88 clutch to go along with it since they both have 21 splines. The z6 clutch, or any 89+ clutch, wont work since they all use 20 splines.

are u sure i thought i counted 21 on both.. so i need to take the clutch off the a6 and move it to the z6... its a 93 i believe

If its an 88 clutch youre dealing with, you have to transfer over the flywheel, pressure plate and disc to be able to use the 88 tranny. It all fits on the z6.
