Default Buying a 2000 Civic Si

I went to a dealership today and they said they would call me if they had a 2000 Si but just now they call me and said the mechanic in the back is selling his 2000 Si for $11,000 I then asked if I could finance thru the dealership but they said if I did it would be $15,000 Do you think $11,000 for a 2000 Si is a good deal or am I getting ripped off?

$11,000 is good depending on the mileage and condition of the car. I would expect it has probably 75k since its $11,000.

The price is a little bit high, I would buy it only if I really wanted one and it was in perfect condition with low miles. Good Luck on the purchase.

I bought my bone stock Red Si a little over a year ago it had 63,000 on it and is in Perfect condition With all Honda maintance done with receipts for $8,300
You just have to shop around and you can find one for a good price.
11,000 is a little high but if the condition is good and miles are low go for it.

The blue book value for private party for a 00 Si with 75k in good condition is $10250 and in excellent condition is $11k. That is if it had 75k and is in excellent condition. Just have some one expect the care and go from there.

Even if you think it might be a little high... You are buying it from a HONDA MECHANIC!!! Food for thought.

i got my red 00 si from a dealership for 11500 with only 43K, just a year ago. if it's low miles go for it. but you might want to get a gs-r instead if your going for performance

An Si is something that I would definitely pay extra for if I knew it had a good history (ie: from a Honda mechanic and reputable dealership). If it's stock and mint condition, that adds a lot to the value as well.

Here's my EBP EM1 I just got for $10.5 OTD from a really, really nice and reputable dealership: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1446274

Now that these cars are ~5 years old, and the new 2006 Si's are coming out, there are going to be a lot more EM1's on the market. Hold out for the perfect one

go check the car out. if the body is nice, interior is nice, and its been well maintained (by a honda mechanic, seems like it would be) and it's been kept stock or with minimal mods, to be honest 11k is fine for a clean Si.

of course, it'd be best to pay for it all at once (like i did) which will save you some skrilla...but still

11,000 is a bit much. The dealership I bought mine from tried to screw me over with 13,000 /80,000 miles. I traded my old car in and paid 10,000 for it. Not the best price, but I didn't know about H-T back then

You could buy a 2000 EX coup and make it outperform the Si in every single arena with the money you save by not buying a car with the Si nameplate.

Just making a suggestion .
