Default 4th gen SunRoof

94 lude Vtec, Green, leather gots to love it...

Hello everyone Ive started 2 Notice that sum times the Sunroof will Bog/Bind as it were, and with a little help it will move back closed only on Closing or the frist second when it has to lift to clear the roof only sum times others it will be fine so....

i figured it would be the Motor starting to go bad.... but want some advise first ,Is there anything that can be lubed/cleaned/adjusted/etc....
what motor replacement is good/reasonably priced too?


Plus on ebay ive seen the moonroof conversion, that comes with a New motor it runs about $125 shipped would it be much harder, i mean you gots to pull all kinds of stuff anyway right? might as well!?!

Please Help!!!!

mine use to do that but all i did was took a damp rag with wd 40 and ran it up and down the rails. then went over it agai witha dry rag and got any other stuff on them off. Then last just put some wd 40 back on the rails.

just search, that is the fastest and easiest way to get the best information...if you search sunroof im sure youll return 50+ results. and about 10-15 of those will be about maintaining a bogged down sunroof.

I don't know what the eBay kit consists of, but it's not necessary to take apart the sliding mechanism to install the panel. Therefore, I'd try cleaning out the tracks (by spraying stuff on them) before buying anything. If you have to take apart the sliding mechanism, it's a huge pain.
