Hmmmm....I dunno. Maybe because the tires wont seal as well around the rim. Or maybe it only happens when you hit potholes or bumps in the road. My 2 cents.

Yes it is true. Also low tire pressure will kill your gass milage. In the door jam of your car it should tell you the tire pressure you should have. As long as they are the stock wheels. aslo bad tire pressure will casue uneven tire whear. Tire pressure is one of the most important things. You should try to check it at least once a month.

Ok..here's a major misconception....You DO NOT DEFLATE STREET RADIALS!!!! ...(I'm sorry in advance if you have drag slicks)...This is why...when you deflate your radials, you think you are making your contact patch bigger...WRONG...when you do deflate them the center of the tire actually lifts off the ground slightly giving you a smaller contact patch and less traction....U'll notice on a slightly deflated street radial the burnout patch will be darker on the sides and very light in the middle...Of course I learned this after going to my first drive up the strip...I burnt all the way up the 1/8th...1st through 4th gear...smoked them up ALL THE WAY, and crossed at 40mph at 15secs...You actually want to over inflate them 5psi. But I'd leave it the recommended tire pressure. Oh yea...and just to let you know the first burnout was due to adrialine but my third run had great traction through 1st and 2nd but as soon as I hit third I broke loose and spun it all the way through 4th to the line..10sec..
