hesitation during acceleration
My first what's the problem post
Anyways... I just picked up a 92
integra gsr. Its great, but i personally don't know anything about the car maintenance wise.
Okay so between 2000 and 3000 rpms i get a small amount of bucking like i'm running out of gas. I've been told to check/change my fuel filter, injectors, distributor, plugs and wires. I have a brand new distributor on it as of 100 miles ago so thats not the problem. Is this information accurate? I plan on doing a full make over when i get her back from the body shop so everything will be changed, but i just want to make sure i passed it past you fine people before i go switch all this stuff and then i still have the problem because i left something out ya know.
thanks in advance

Sounds like an ignition/fuel delivery issue. Pull sparkplugs and inspect, replace the fuel filter cause thats probably due anyway, also examine the sparkplug wires for any damage.

I had the same problem recently.
My solution... PLUG WIRES!
It was a pain to trouble shoot because I did not have any timing light or extra wires. All the stuff I could inspect visually checked out. By the time I got done with that all the stores where closed, so I called a buddy who is a DelSoler who put a B18C in his car who luckily had both a light and wires laying around and Whalla! Wire to cylinder 1 was bad. What really threw me with this problem was it was very intermittent.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck

to test the wires you can start the car up in a dark place (garage, dark street, etc) make sure its well ventilated so you dont die from the exhaust.. anyway see if the wires have sparks/arching when you start it up.... you can also pull each wire and check for continuity w/ a multimeter while bending/moving the wire around to see if there are any "breaks" anywhere that would show up on your multimeter..
also check your spark plugs, cap/rotor, replace your fuel filter, check your ignitor.. even if nothings wrong.. it wont hurt your car to change these anyway..
