Default Koni yellow hardware issue

Sorry to make a post for this, if it needs to go I understand, but I think someone in this forum is more apt to have a solution.

I am short one of the white plastic washers that come with Koni yellows. I really dont want to buy a hardware kit just for that washer, is there any thing that could be substituted or fabricated to take the place of it? Does anyone have an extra that they would like to get rid of?

Thanks in advance!

It's made of Delrin, so if you have access to some the right thickness you could make one. Try and get ahold of CRX Lee, he can probably do something for you. I recall him saying in a post a while ago how the washer is necessary but don't seem to remember the reason.

IIRC its a debris shield to protect the seal, but it is not required.

I am travelling out of town for a week. That is simply a bump plate for the bump rubber to make initial contact with and give a little exit for debris or air. It is totally non-critical, don't let a missing one of these slow down your installation. It will have zero effect on function and handling. Just extra levels of protection.

i remember seeing nylon washers at my local hardware store, don't know if they were the correct size, but if they are you may be in luck. Just cut a little slot in it for a vent.

I remember reading that the vent allowed air back in on bump stop rebound to prevent creating a vacuum on the outside of the seal.

CRXLee, any comments on that, I would like to know if it was true or not. I gotta call you some time too, I lost my adjuster **** things
