Default winter tires or CRV 15" steelies w/ winter tires?

Anyone have a recomendation which would be a better route: winter tires on OE 16" prelude wheels or winter tires on 15" crv oe steelies? Would goin to 15" negatively effect the car? Preparin for Pennsylvania winters here... and all the more reason to move to Socal!

- 15" tires will be cheaper.
- Don't pull off tires off the wheels if you plan to use those tires again. If you don't want another set of proper wheels, then go with steelies

PS: if you think PA winters are bad, come to Ottawa

go 15, just be sure that they clear your brake calipers....and get super big sidewalls to make up for the size differnce, try some sizes at
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
get as close to stock size as possible

go with the steelies. you'll pay for the steelies just by not changing from summer to winter tires. you'll want more soft sidewall and a thinner tire. i have a 4th gen and i ride on 195/65/15.
