I wanna buy an ecu from a 2000 itr for the fuel maps but im not sure if it will fit in....im pretty sure a 2000 itr is OBDII like mine but im not sure......i also need to know if i need to do any kind of mod for it to work right (ie: switch pins).....

 

Exactly why would you want to use the ITR ecu?

Do you think it's actually going to give you performance gains? Most likely it's just going to mess things up.

No. Plus you don't even have vtec.

Okay, first it will throw codes like crazy, your engine has no knock sensor, hence it will always have a check engine light. If you really want to use another ecu, buy a skunk 2 harness adapter, and get a chipped p28 for non-vtec race application. I'm actually using a mugen chipped b-series ecu on my 94 civic ex with the stock d16z6(shaved head, bolt ons). It runs great, i'm afraid i'm gonna float a valve revving it to 8800 everyday.

btw: that ecu has the knock-sensor disabled.

The itr ecu, or any ecu is programmed and made for a specific engine. In this case, the ITRs 1.8liter engine. Even if you rewired everything so the engine actually runs, there would be waaay too much fuel for your 1.6 litere sohc in your car. Also if you actually try revving the engine to close to 9 grand which the ITR engine will let you, you are pretty much guaranteed that you will blow your motor.

 

It did act a little screwey at first. But now it runs great, i just had to tune down my FPR a little and i really enjoy it.
