ouch. sorry dude. if its the same as a 92-95, you have to pull the dash out. if you don't want to break anything, you should go to helms.com and buy yourself a service manual to go step by step.

i just did mine on my 00 civic si ... you must remove the dash to access it ... it took me about 3 hours to finish everything ... i am a mechanic though ... it is really easy you just need to take time and look at everything your removing so you remember where it goes .... also on the top of the dash in the middle you must remove the cover for 1 more bolt ... if you dont pay attention you will miss it ..

good luck if you have any more questions just let me know

damn....

You know I downloaded a helms manual from the internet for the good ole crx I used to own..
Work loved when I printed it out...I had to stand next to an office HP for about 1 hour explaining to my co-workers how important this was for the company. Hard to do that with a straight face as car diagrams spit out....

Either way....anyone know the skinny on that....(a back up copy?)

Or anyone willing to scan a copy of that? The pages in question...not the whole book

Thanks fellas....

Hey Stripped Honda---

WHy did you remove yours....just curious---

Heres a stumper for you maybe....

My heater if I start with 1 or 2 and let the car warm up the heat works fine....even on 3,4 and 5 but its gotta warm up.
If I dont warm it up and throw it above 3, then the fan stops spinning in the heater core but the motor doesnt stop...making a load noise and vibrating the entire dash.

I am under the assumption that its something is getting in the way of the blade, and when it gets sucked into the blade it stops the fan from running, but the motor keeps spinning.....at least thats my theory...

Let me know if you got any ideas.....
Thanks man....getting cold up here.

sounds like the resistor is bad it is a common problem but i dont remember if the 99-00 has one .... hmmmmmm

i removed mine because i bought a shell and i guess when they stole the motor they damaged the heater core and it leaked

if it doesent have a resistor then maybe the switch or the motor is bad ...

get your helms, there is a long troubleshooting tree for your problem that will guide you step by step. mine has the tree for your problem, but the pins, colors and locations are wrong for your car.
