Darkfx came through for me just a month and a half ago (also a 5th gen CD player). For what it's worth, it took some time to arrive. I actually gathered a surprising amount of information about darkfx when I did my research on him (including his picture), but he PMed me a tracking number just as I was going to contact him by phone.
Overall, I'd vouch for him because he was a real standup guy throughout the whole transaction.

No problem but give him a few days before filing a formal PayPal complaint... I've PM'd him both your usernames and he should be aware of the situation.

well, the only thing that is really concerning me is that its my friends money, and the first time hes bought something from someone online and i told him it was cool and i've bought from alot of people and dont' want to look like a dick or feel like its because of me he lost 200 bucks
Look - if I were you two, i'd file a dispute with paypal.
Paypal will automatically take the money back from him and hold the funds.
In the dispute, he will have to provide paypal with tracking numbers in order to receive that money back. You will have to inform paypal when the items are received in order for him to get that money back.
This is just to be cautious....seriously- it won't hurt neither you nor the seller. Just to be safe, thats what I would do. It basically guarantees your money back if he doesn't ship. The sooner you file a dispute, the better off you'll be. Its been a month - thats too damn bad.
I'm slow with shipping things also, but damn....an entire month? He could just be busy like me - but better be safe.

Paypal "protection" is absolutely, positively worthless. I filed a claim against darkfx for the $50, and Paypal told me that, despite the fact that I won the dispute, I wasn't getting any money back because his account was empty. I filed the claim within 48 hours of payment.
Luckily for me, darkfx turned out to be a good guy.
