BEST MONEY EVER SPENT ON A REX!!.......
ZDYNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This IMO is mandatory for any boosted CRX. no matter what makes your boost, or how much boost you run, there is such a difference with it!!
I set the idle at 780 and it zero's in on that exact value.
I also made a tune that keeps it running perfectly Rich in boost.
Bill has got to be the best guy in the world. He was at the shop at 5:30 Am working on me and my freinds SECU's. He did every thing exactly correct and shipped out the SECU's in only 2 days!!
The quality he provides is just amazing. The port where the connector comes in for the laptop, looks like it came from the factory.
FYI, we have setup a $800 paired buying with Bill. If you find a person willing to buy a SECU you can buy as one person and get it $150 off each ecu!!
if anyone has ?'s about how to do this just post and I will lay out the rules Bill has told us.
Needless to say this is ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!!

WOW, that sounds awesome. I have been to their web site and I checked out their systems. So tell me, what exactly does it come with? It comes with the program right? Do I have to have a laptop to control it, or can I run a CAT-5 to my computer in my house? Let me know how you think it could benefit a dry nitrous setup. I love to hear feedback from someone who owns the product, instead of someone who just wants to sell it.
Alright guy's here are the steps to take to get a Zydne for 800 bucks:
1. Find someone that is willing and ready to buy.
2. Call Bill at Zdyne to find the exact prices for your perticular setups, and options.
3. Have ONE person buy the ECU's. Have them shipped to ONE ADDRESS.
4. Have ONE person send the other their core ECU and have both cores sent in as ONE package.
5. When one Person gets the SECU's send the others there SECU.
It might seem like a hassel, but if you use paypal for transfers and pair up with respecable people it should defintetly be worth it.
The 800 dollars only includes the software(he emails it or sends it out on disk) SECU, basic fetures and all the stuff needed to get it up and running. other options such as NOS, and VETC are still normal price and will just be added on.
I'm not trying to sell the damn thing, I just want to help people save a few bucks (150 frekin bucks!!)

The cord should work. As long as your computer has a normal serial COM port it should be fine. Remember too though, that it only works with windows 95/98.
When Bill sends you the software he also includes Pre-made tunes to be uploaded for your specific engine.
It would be great with a Nitrous system. With my turbo ZC I plan to do a engine build up for boost, and will also install a 25 shot NOS system.
The ECU if you buy the NOS function, can be set to control the Fueling, and spark retard. I was looking at the manual that Bill sent and it shows that you can wire the NOS to your A/C switch. So when you click the A/C the NOS is Armed. I do think you would be able to just put in a switch though, If you want to keep your A/C. This method though would be so much safer than a seperate fuel system, and the regulator setup. Also you get the added benefits of spark retard, so detonation would be less likely.

How does doing that save you 150? Does he give you a discount for buying 2? I currently have his 1 wire vtec conversion, and I'm go be upgrading soon.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Too bad they refuse to modify 1992-1995 ECUs. They had been talking about doing this for quite some time. But they suddenly just dropped the project. Their reasoning? According to them, it would be easier to pirate their programs from 1992-1995 ECUs. I am not sure how. But this is what they said. On the other hand, the AEM stand alone system is available for 1992-1995 cars (or 1988-1991 cars modified to use 1992-1995 electronics) but not 1988-1991 cars.
I must agree, the Zdyne Gold SECU is very nice... I just wish it had some features that Hondata has.. A datalogger and real time monitoring like the new AEM EMS setup would be very nice.
Later this year I am going to get a few Dyno-tested ZC Maps made up.
Which program are you running?

Ya, he was talking about a datalogging program, but I'm sure they'll never get around to finishing it. Damn, I would kill for that right about now!!!!
I'm running Ricky Crows Turbo ZC setup. It has worked great and I only modded the Idle RPM.

just give them some time. I'm sure their thinking right now is, that if they were to start making the OBD+ series ecu's, 92-up, they would have a hard time surviving with the companies like Hondata, and AEM(who already make a great product).
Zdyne is the only one making Programmable ECU's for the OBD0 cars, so theres no competition. Why take any chances?
Another reason is that they are so new. They only setup shop three years ago, so are still learning the newer cars.
So instead of making ECU's for every year, they make it up by giving the BEST SERVICE IMAGINABLE.
I do wish they had the DataLogging though

it's funny how you say it's the "best money ever spent" on your car...
because my ZDyne that i had (ZC conversion) was trash, worst money i ever spent!! it made my car run the worst out of the three ecu's i had at the time (90 si, 89 teg, ZDyne ZC). i spent 400 dollars on it, and it made my dist. and rpms go crazy. ran like ***.
but hey, i didn't pay 800+ for mine so maybe the product's quality only shows up when you spend that much.

ZDYNE works for me!!! my setup includes a mini-me (Y8head, A6block) which is boosted to 10psi with JRSC and just for good measure a 25shot of nitrous. IMHO the SECU is the only thing that allows my ~11-1 compression, boost, and nos work together so well. sure datalogging would be nice but don't hold your breath for it...the OBD0 ecu didn't have a serial data communication capability, so adding datalogging would be an involved process. as far as customer service, while i haven't needed any after purchase assistance, i witnessed bill's help to someone via 45 minute late night, long distance call....and this was to resolve a problem that wasn't the fault of the ecu. i agree....the best money i spent on my rex.
dood you only paid for the CONVERSION. this is programmable.
I would have NEVER paid 400 for just a ZC conversion when you can find a PM7 for under 150 bucks.
Did you get some sort of options on it?
I would never pay that much for a stinking "stock" ecu.

I don't know man...I like my Zdyne ZC ecu.
It was one of the best mods I did for my zc. I would have to agree though that for OBD0 nothing can beat the gold ecu from zdyne.
