D15 Vtec not starting?
Hey we swapped a d15 vtec into my friends 92 4dr LX (d15b7 orig), and it wont start.
We used the D15b7 wiring harness, and we didnt wire vtec up yet.. Just tried to start it on the stock d15b7 computer (non vtec). Will this non vtec computer start the car?
...we have fuel, and spark. But she wont start! Also we tried to use the stock dizzy to start it because the new engine didnt have one but none of the holes line up except top so maybe timing is out.. hes getting vtec one tommorow?

ok grounds we got.. 1 on valve cover, 1 on transmission, and 1 on thermostat housing?
Right?... Tommorow we will check all the plugs again make sure they all 'clicked' in.
We are getting fuel.. but having spark problems, at first it seemed like it was misfiring upon startup.. now its just nothing. Plugs were wet so we changed them.. still nothing?
Once we get the right distributor we will beable to start eliminating things.

Ecu and dizzy are the only things that control spark. I ran a stock 92 cx ecu in my friends car that had a b16 swap and it worked so that part should be ok for now but the dizzy is the problem. I would almost bet the house on it.
check your plug wires TWICE
check your grounds TWICE
check if your timing is correct
check if your top end is at TDC and bottem is at TDC
assuming u getting PROPER spark( a big blue spark) proper fuel (right fuel pressure) would be firing order timing
