No. Your house is 110v, and 460v is typically found in a commercial area.

most of the 1 phase 460 vt. machines can be converted to 240. i have an older hobart and airco that can go from 230-460 just by changin the direction of 2 copper plates inside the machine.

Well thats true, but most outlets that are 240 in the house are already in use. You can pay an electrician to come install another though.

i seem to recall somewhere looking at econotig's that you can do tis very same thing. I helped a guy convert a big licoln stick power supply from 240 to 460v single phase once and we did just that, swap some plates and wires.

No such thing as 460 V exit onto domestic power delivery, unless you are using a dry tapp Xfos in your garage, wich I doubt...

460, phase to neutral voltage is availlable only into industries that convert there power themselve with their own xfos.

3 phases curent is delivered into 347/600 volt by your local power provider.

I own an econotig, it is currently settuped for 240 Volt, using two 30 amp C&H breacker.

you can have it work with only 1 phases of the 347/600 supply but it will give the same result in welding as a 240V and having 3 phases into home garage is rare enough these day.

enough said.
hope this help
