butterfly valve for h22
Just wondering has anyone tried to mock up the Intake plenum and Runners without the butterfly valve in the middle on any I.M. that uses a butterfly valve?
-Would it make any difference power wise, to remove the valve? You might lose torque but gain hp.
I took mine apart to see hwo it would line up and it seems ok. maybe a lil modification to the gasket that goes between. Also shorter screws and some spacers would be needed.
Put yoru opinion down or your experience with the IM.

I did a dyno test awhile ago. It's a little different than what you're suggesting but it will give you an idea. Basically it provides good top end but you sacrifice torque/power between 3700-4500 rpm.

Is not worth the sacrific I don't think. You need that torque to get you going. I have a Skunk2 manifold and they don't have butterflies and let me tell you that if it did It would make more power, Its probably because of the loss in air velocity. So I'm going back to stock ported and polished.
