Default Spark Plug ? (96 integra)

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on which spark plugs i should get because i want some good ones. Here is a list i got from auto-zone, i was leaning toward the bosch-platinum+4's, anyone?

Most people, including me, are happy with the performance of stock ones. I believe it's NGK. Just ask the dealer what they use for GSR's and that's the one.

Depending on your power level, just get different heat indexes within the NGK brand.

NGK

My local autozone doesn't carry them, but Advance Discount does.

Look at the first post. Gives you some info about those NGK ones. They appear to be the ones that I'm speaking of. The model numbers look familiar.

More then likely autozone will not be able to get the ngk's even though they are listed. I would get some from advanced or rockauto.com. I get mine for 1.61 a piece. If you want to buy from autozone just get the denso

auto-zone has the NGK v-power, the guy showed them to me, but i wasnt sure whether to get them b/c there 1.69 each and that seems cheap, so i was looking at the bosch ones b/c there more , but i dont know , ngk seems like the better one?

well if they have the NGK hop on that ****. Thats what bosch does. They sell **** products and price them high so people think that they are good. The "plus 4" is bull anyway because the the spark is only going to one electrode anyway. If your doing wires do get the duralast with the lifetime warranty. I use them on my B18b and have had no problems. Its boosted and is driven pretty hard so I do a tune-up about every 5000 of new plugs and wire. I by ngk's in quantity and then just warranty the wires and get new ones. 6 dollar and 10 minute tune-up= good stuff

Another vote for ngks v-power.I have never had a problem with them.Dont let that 1.69 price fool you. They are just as good if not better than all those more expensive brands.

expletive the 4 ground ones. that is all bling, and NOT as good as the NGK iridiums. They NGKs are best for your car. Amazingly, Honda can claim all of their cars work best with NGK.

NGK OR DENSO'S. If you look in the owners manual for and integra it states those to brands and gives you the gap setting.

I'm running the NGK Iridium IX. They are great. The platinum 4's I had sucked ***. They fouled up all the time, and I'm not running rich at all. I think they were burning too hot. It took like 5 seconds of cranking to get the engine to fire. The Iridiums take less than one rotation to fire the engine. And I made absolutely no changes to the engine besides the plugs. They work great for those cold mornings when the battery is struggling. The Iridiums also run a lot smoother than the p-4's.

From what ive heard the NGK V-Powers are best bang (no pun) for your buck.

The Plat 4's were the worst money i have ever spent on my car. I purchased a fuel additive to clean the injectors for gods sake. The only thing the Platinum 4's did for me was totally screw up the way my car drove. And (proly not related) after i got rid of them I had to get a new Distributor.

What they do besides waste 3 prongs of platinum per plug is they change the ignition temperature and without tuning your car to run at that higher temp you actually loose some HP (minimal) but you also end up wasting gas. They ONLY advantage that 4's have over the 2's or any other plug is that there is more surface area if platinum for the chemical reaction to take place.

You should know that platinum is a cataylist for the chemical reaction that turns Octane into Oxygen and Water. Introducing more cataylist would seem like a good idea because it might seem like your car would be more efficent, but in reality it changes the temperature of ignition so introducing the plugs into a system that is tuned for the stock plugs will have a negative effect on how your motor runs. You will have higher emmissions and burn less fuel per cycle lowering your horsepower.

So in conclusion, if yoru car is stock go with what the dealer recommends or somethign similar, you will get no advantage out of fancy plugs unless you tune afterwords.

NGK's are the best for your car. If you want a good set of wires, and have a local NOPI store, they sell the NGK plug wires there. I have bought the wires cheaper at NOPI than on Ebay; figure that out

Bosch is piece of crap. When i got my GS-R it comes with Bosch plugs and it misfired at high rpms. Acura only uses NGKs.

I replied in PM, but I saw them more than once for $90 on Ebay, but the price has come down quite a bit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

$65 + shipping. Not bad now.

BUT

http://www.nopionline.com/nopi...01995

$47 @ NOPI
