Default DAY 4: Swap is 98% done... Just Wont Start

hey guys well i got the distributor situation all straighten
out and it turns out that axle must of been shot. bought a new
one and everything is ready to rock. suspension all in car
just will not start. its definitely getting fuel though. Im going to go check for
spark in about 20 mins. In my day 3 post some mention that i mixed up the sensors IAT and something else??? Can someone take a look at my config
and tell me if everything is ok?

Also i was told that i do not have to change throttle cable
if so how do i get the old one to fit. Bracket will not hold to make
adjustment. picture should show problem???

Thanks again for everyones help...

the one that you pointed to on the backside of the manifold is you IAC(idle air control valve) ... might be one of your problems if its not even hooked up.

I think you would have to use a Integra LS throttle cable.

Hey guys well i got it runnin' and boy does it run strong.
took it out for a spin and it pulls way harder. It took 4 days but
thats at like 4-6 hours a day sometimes not even due to me working
two jobs. Well turns out to be a bad coil in the distributor no spark you guys
called it right. swapped in my old coil from my d-series and she fired right up.
well after taking her for a spin just around the block i am pleased but on the way
back in to my parking lot i notice some smoke thought it wasn't much but as i parked it more kept coming. It was not overheating though so i thought it was just
residue from oil droppings i was wrong. ( pics below ) I don't know if I just need a vavle cover gasket or if I need new cam seals. I will change gasket tommorrow after work and see if that does the trick. Let me know your thoughts.

I did not have the proper washers to secure the valve cover
so i just bought some 3/8" washers from Home Depot and It seemed
to hold down tight but i guess i am wrong or the gasket shot.

Also for those of you who have questions fire away!!!!

I also had to use a 93 integra alternator belt not a 95 ... have no idea but the 95 was just way to big ... and i also think my alternator is shot as well....

anyone got one for sale???

Have a great night and Thank You Honda-Tech!!!!!!

looks like it's the valve cover gasket, use alittle silicone where the humps are for the cams. Where the gasket starts to make the curve.

you should have replaced all the major gaskets/seals/t-belt/waterpump/etc before you put this motor in... why is everyone in such a rush to swap their motor in??... just remember, haste makes waste

Can i get pic's of the custom bracket/ziptie...

I reversed the bracket and it kinda of held ok but
not the best. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct
this bracket issue without changing throttle cable?

I did accidentally swap those two sensors when I did my swap.
Basically the car would rev to around 2500 then just die.
It didn't do any damage to my car in the long run so if you think they may be wrong you could swap them over and see.

I didn't have any problems I am not sayin you will not, so don't just swap em all ***** nilly you might wanna check into it some more, jsut saying it worked for me.

Make sure you did not tighten the valvecover to much, you may have pinched the gasket, it only takes 12-15 ft. lbs.

Well guys I remove and re-installed valve cover and added some sealent near the spark plug rings. still got the popping sound. i than got and idea to check hoses. I did not feel their was enough pressure in the hoses so i put more coolant directly in the Radiator and the popping noise and high idle dis-appeared. Everything seems to be running tip top now. all is left is to swap out throttlle cable and put in a new alternator the one that i was given was bad....

Can I re-use my D-Series Alternator on the B-series engine?

Thanks H-T!!!

Youd have to fab up some sort of bracket to make it work, but yeah if you can do that, its fine.
