Someone hit me!!! Need advice on what to do.
I parked my Integra at school on monday morning and when I came back in the afternoon, I found that some a-hole hit me. The damage is on the right rear bumper area directly behind the wheel well. It didn't really do any body damage. The only thing is that the right side of the bumper looks like it is sagging a little. All the paint in the area is messed up. It's like scratched down to the black plastic. Well anyway, I just went to Maaco yesterday to get an estimate of how much it would cost me to fix. They said $370 for painting the bumper and blending the rear quarter. It would also cost me another $300 if I wanted it wet sanded and buffed. I just want to know if I'm being taken to the cleaners? Also I need some advice on what I should do. Thanks in advance.
Cliff Notes: Some retard pulled a hit and run on me, went to Maaco and they said it would cost me $670 to fix it, what should I do?

chances are the insurance will charge you a $500 deductable... pay that and go to an expensive shop to fix it... for $600 you can easily get an aftermarket bumper if you wish and have that painted too...

When somebody tried to break into my car, my insurance came out and looked at it, and estimated about $570 to fix. Since my deduct is $500 they cut me a check for $70 woohoo!!!
The body shop I went to originally estimated between $700 and $900 (depending on if I needed a new door actuator), but somehow they did the job for $570. They said if it was going to cost more they would have taken it up w/ my ins. company.
