18" rims for Honda Civic Coupe 2002
I`d like to fix the rims 18х8.0 with tires 225/40-R18. What do you think, will it fit this car without any changes? If not, what should I do to fix such tires?
Whats the stock tire size? That sounds too big to not completely throw off your speedo.
Example, on my Integra, stock was 195/55-15, so to go +3, 215/35-18 is about right (and what tirerack recommends). Not that I would ever go that big. Its just one pothole away from a bent wheel, and would ride like crap. Not to mention killing acceleration, cornering (you need some sidewall flex), and hurting gas mileage (that is why the hx comes with lightweight wheels).

The closest match for 18" wheels depends on the model, but 225/40 is WAY too big.

Get the proper size (215 treadwidth) tires.
Or, if you want to use 225/40-18 tires, then get a different make and model of car, one for which that size is correct.

will fit perfectly because 02 civic coupe has same measurements as 98 gsr... proof is that my 03 civic was fitted with the same specs for racinghart c5 rims that were from my boyz 98 gsr so no worries no mods needed.

Absolutely wrong. The 2002 Civics have MUCH bigger tires than the GS-R, and the 215/40-18 and 225/40-18 are WAY too big for a GS-R. They will rub big time, they will give you significantly slower acceleration, and they will create large errors in the accuracy of your speedometer and odometer. The 215/35-18 is the only 18" size you're going to get away with on a GS-R (and that will rub slightly as well).
1998 Integra GS-R:
195/55-15 (stock size)
185/70-14 (2002 Civic DX/HX/LX Coupe) +3.2 percent
185/65-15 (2002 Civic EX Coupe) +4.4 percent
215/35-18 +2.1 percent (closest match)
215/40-18 +5.7 percent
225/40-18 +7.0 percent
