Default Prelude kicks out of gear and check engine light cuts on.

Hey i have an h22 in my prelude, and does anyone know how come it is that every time i step on the gas and get the car up to about 7 rpms the car just simply slows down or kicks out of gear and the check engine light comes on, and then i just get it back into gear and keep on goin and and the light cuts off, it usually just does it when i'm at high rpms in lower gears. it just started doing this too.

sounds like its kicking into limp mode. Is it an auto?

Pull the ecu codes and post back with the results.
