Default Eliminating coolant lines on a BLOX intake manifold

Hey brothers, to make a long story short... I am getting rid of any non-essential coolant lines on my BLOX intake manifold and capping off the various nipples on it. I bought this manifold brand new and for whatever reason, it gets coolant into the intake. The problem is not the gaskets, we have quadruple-checked that already and even got new ones. Still have not fixed it...

The engine is a OBD-0 B18A.

My question is, which coolant lines are crucial and which ones can I live without? I looped the IACV but am not too sure of what exactly to do at this point. I am just trying to figure out how the coolant is getting into my intake manifold, and am hoping this will help narow it down.

Thanks guys.

Does anyone know if any coolant lines need to be run through my intake manifold at all? If I can get rid of all of the lines going through the intake manifold into my head, that would be ideal.

bump bc i have the same problem , never got a answer so i put the stock back on .

i know exactly what your talking about .

just to make his problem more clear here is a pic

the bottom right corner of the pic the nipple on the flange with the big while and the little one below it ( they go to the same whole in the block .

on the stock manifold there is a big one then a small one to the right of it for coolant they go to different holes in the block

when you put the blox on , the flange covers the coolant hole and only utilizes one of the wholes in the block whick i think has to do with pcv system , but the nipple has two opening and you dont want to mix coolant with that

so what do we do

it is EXTREMLY important that you run the coolant hose from the thermostat through the manifold. I have two friends burn up#3 cylinders because they didnt run that hose. other than that you can block every thing off.

Does anyone know if those coolant lines are mixing with the PCV?

Ok I just put 20 miles on my CRX without a hint of smoke.

I eliminated all of the throttle body and IACV lines, but that's it. I looped the IACV since it doesn't get cold here. I capped off all of the nipples related to the IACV and throttle body.

I also replaced my PCV since it was surging in idle, and that fixed it. It doesn't overheat either, which is nice for a change.

My CRX is running once again.
