why not just do the research like everyone else and make up your own mind...?

who cares what we think...figure it out for yourself...if you don't know LEARN and use that handy search button...

btw, I'm a 91 DA owner with a lsvtec swap.....bang for the buck it's the best I could have spend my money on. I'd like to try a LS-T though, seems like a lot of fun.

ive had both LS turbo and a b16a...id have to say i had fun with my turbo setup, bolted on, turboedit = 13.8 @ 105, 2.2 60ft..costed as much as a b16 swap, but that varys on the deals you find... but money issues got in the way and i couldnt build the motor, so basically i made a bomb that i have to drive daily...sold the car and now i have a DA with a b16a and getting ready to track it and not worry about blowing up, so if you got the money and love straight speed, turbo..reliable setup but still fun to play in the country roads, b16 or some simple na setup...my opinion.

Well if its your firs swap id say just throw a B16 in it, Because youll probably love Vtec so much that itll be soon to blow up. But IMO ive had LS, B16 on the jug, Built B16, Built B16 on the jug, and LS/Vtec. I think ill be happiest with the ls Vtec gettin built now...

ya just go with the b20, great displacment for a later on vtec head, or to spool a turbo...but if its your daily and you love being able to drive it everyday..keep it simple, dont get into something you cant afford to mantain....good luck with your project .

Welll on a budget go with the b16 you can pick it up for 1000 or less. And later maybe turbo it. You still have the long geared ls tranny for the turbo setup. Good luck and stay focused.

I would say get anouther LS because its just as cheap as the b20 and in my opinion a little bit stronger or more reliable. And with a new Ls motor you could easily turbo it on the stock block and get some decent power properly tuned. And in my experiance the Ls holds better to boost than a b20. imo

actually scottishdave has the best idea...get a ls long block and switch it out, then you'll have a spare ls block to build up for what you want in the future....dont worry about going fast until you can afford it.

If I were you, save some money up and do a K-series swap. That swap is the ****!!! People can talk all the s**t they want to me about how expensive it is, but in reality you spend just the same amount of money that you would in building an 230whp all-motor b-series that yields high *** compression and is not really streetable, with horrible gas mileage. Or you can put the money forth for a k-series swap that does about 230whp with an afermarket ecu and bolt-ons. Plus its a freakin 6 speed!!!! So my vote has to go to the k-series.

There a bucnh of guys with H22 da's now, The K series swap would cost way more than your making this man think it would. Considering its never been done, and there are no mounts, you need custon linkage, a wiring nightmare, but if you down with all that ****
