Valve Adjustment Help... TDC?
I just did a valve adjustment on a B18B1 engine for the first time. I didn't run into any problems, except I noticed in my Helms Manual it says to "Set No.1 Pistion at TDC. "UP" mark on the pulley should be at top, and TDC grooves on teh pulley should align with the pointer on back cover. TD grooves (white paint) on the crankshaft pully shold align with pointer on timing belt lower cover.
I was looking for the "white paint" and TDC grooves, but could not find them. I didn't see them, so I set the "UP" marks at their appropriate places for 1-4 pistons.
My motor is OEM stock, is there suppose to be the white paint?
Other than that, I didn't run into any other problems and the car runs fine after the adjustment and pulls a bit better and doesn't click before I did it.
