Just because of that last line I'm not going to say anything helpful.

No, DOHC heads don't go on SOHC blocks. Do you need a SOHC head? Are you in a bind?

You have to ask nicely like everyone else does, then you will get your response.

Maybe you don't understand the meaning of the word mandatory!

Main Entry: 1man·da·to·ry
Pronunciation: 'man-d&-"tOr-E, -"tor-
Function: adjective
1 : containing or constituting a command : OBLIGATORY <mandatory retirement age>

When you madate something to a group of people who you wish to recieve help from, especially when you are not an established member of their community, they are not going to be inclined to help you but rather motivated to shun and mock you!

Plus you already recieved an answer!

It will work, try it. You need to also overnight a dohc headgasket from Japan, as well as a new spool valve, thumb tacks, and a stapler.

Go ahead, if you don't believe us (you obviously don't), drill that 1/4" hole, and watch the sparks fly. I hope it dumps oil all over your driveway and eats away at the asphault.

Actually, it can and has been done, but with some modifications and the gains are not worth it. You get more from using a Y8 or Z6 head instead.
