Compensator washer bolt missing?! HELP!!!
Hey guys.. I am doing my rear disk swap and 'lost' the washer/nut where the compensator arm botls to the chassis. (The washer that slides back and forth for the toe alighnment - I think)
I searched and the only info I found was to cut from inside the car. Any other thoughts?!
Thanks guys

Which part are you missing, the washer #31 or the bolt #27
The washer is 24X10X2.3 (mm)
The bolt is 10X59 (mm)
I you get them at the hardware store, make sure you buy metric grade 10.2 or better (SAE grade 8+)

It's the washer that slides back and forth inside the 'oval' opening in the chassis. The compensator arm bolts to the chassis here... It must have fallen back into the chassis?! -- It is NOT pictured in that diagram
That is really not good. I've read threads about fixing that before. I know it involves cutting a square in the chassis from inside the car so you can reach inside & fix the problem.
I believe it's a flange nut inside that is supposed sit in slots above & bellow the hole that the bolt passes through. if those slots get bent or damaged, they will allow the nut to fall out once the bolt is removed. I can't really offer you any more insight though. You're going to have to do some serious searching to find exactly where to cut to gain access to that area...
Good luck...

Thanks alot for your input, 94eg... I probably did bend that piece while removing my suspension.. I had a hell of a time with that bolt because it was all siezed up. I ended up drilling it out.
Well, If I have to cut through the floor of the car, so be it... Good thing I bought a dremmel a few months ago! -- Any idea on where to obtain the new washer/nut?
