buying a legit gsr motor, but one problem, need help

Default buying a legit gsr motor, but one problem, need help

well it has motor, trans, ecu. its a 97 with 70,000 miles. problem the car caught on fire, but was put out before it harmed the motor. any steps of precaution i should take before i purchase this motor???

u might want to check ur vacum lines and all wiring just to be safe and make sure nothing is shorted out..and u can replace grounds...

Wiring will be the biggest deal. Anything else should be easy to fix if there is no visible damage but a burnt harness is a major PITA to repair and not cheap to replace. If everything up to the three large connectors on the passenger shock tower are ok, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

wiring harness is not an issue, its going in my 93 ex coupe, and i believe you can use some of that wiring, with the p28. what about oil seals??
