Raspy buzz around 3000 RPM...?
I just bought a 95' GSR.Mods are Injen intake and a ITR intake cam.Everything else is stock.
Around 3000-3300 RPM theres a raspy buzz sound.I thought it might be the intake but Im not to sure.Anybody else have this?

Check your header. It is double walled, and the weld that holds the piping prob. broke loose. It is a common problem on the GSR models. I had the same thing and ended up replacing my header with a comptech one. No problems since.
Good Luck.

All the time in every gear around 3000 RPM.If I hold the throttle around 3000 RPM it just keeps buzzing. It sounds like what a cheap exhaust would sounds like but its not?
Im gonna check the manifold tommorow.

hmm mine used to do that for the first few minutes before i got my exhaust. id check the heat shields and if you are getting an exhaust in the future that might take care of it.

yeah, GSRs have this problem. what he means by "double walled" is ... where the two secondaries merge into the collector, the secondaries' collector slips over the visible collector, like a male and female type fit. if you use your hands to understand, make a "C" with one hand and a slightly larger "C" with the other. then put one hand inside the other. thats how the collector and secondaries fit together. it's double walled there. one of the welds broke loose, so those two pieces are vibrating. thats your buzzing sound. you need a new header. fixing the problem would require more work than necessary.
EDIT: when i swapped my header out for this problem, it should have taken off my heat shields too, cause a few days later i got another rattling sound. it was a noticably different sound than the header buzz, but while you're swapping out the header, you might as well remove the heat sheilds while you're under the car.
Good Luck.
