Default headgasket thickness

hi, im completely new to the b-series scene but had a quick question what is the difference between a b16a and b16a2 because only diifference i see is compression and using a thinner headgasket on the a2 like the 1 layer gasket would bump the compression is this method safe to bump the compression or not? anything related to compression bumps will the stock ecu handle it or do i need tuning?
