hey guys.. i have a 98 gsr...im kinda new to cars to i just wanted to ask whats the difference between hydro or cable... for my next mod i am gonna go a new tranny ... and i want to sell my tranny right now... so i wanted to know some description.... i was trying to search but i didnt really want to ask what the difference was so yea .. can u guys let me knoe what kinds of trannys there are and the description... like hydro cable... and etc... and yea i was also gonna ask what tranny you guys recommend... i heard b16 is gonna make my car faster and also the itr tranny is like the same ratio as the type r one but the typr r one has lsd... is this true and if you guys were me what tranny i should get... please let me knoe... and no smart asses.. pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i just got a b16 tranny and it was one of the best mods ive done.

now as far as differences
b16 is the same as 96-97 ITR tranny aside from LSD
but the 98-01 ITR tranny has shorter gears and a different final drive. (and LSD)

if you have the money i would go 98-01 ITR but b16 is still a HUGE difference over the GSR

i just had a brand new 2001 ITR tranny put in my gs-r, its great

the gears are slightly shorter than the gs-r, and it has the LSD of course.
