See if you can find someone online with an LSD b16 cable tranny. Synchros are impossible to find for this tranny so there are a lot of people who have it just sitting around. Maybe they will sell the LSD itself. I was able to put this LSD in my 92 LS cable tranny. Just remember to have them also send the spacers. Otherwise there will be too much play on the LSD from side to side.

does anyone know if an ITR LSD will work in a 92 GS-R cable transmission(YS1)????

if so, does it need anything to be done? I read something about using different bearings? what else? details on what exactly needs to be done would be great!

thanks.

yes it can be done, it will fit as long as you have the 4.4 final, you have to do a little clearancing of the cases with a dremel but it will fit, you will want to use the new style bearing not the old 2pc style

if i use the 4.4 final, will i still have to do some machining with the dremel?

You have to take some of the webbing support off the inner casing of the YS1 where the LSD will sit.

See here: http://www.outlawatvclub.com/u....html

Thank lococoin for that how-to.
