Default VTEC Solenoid - OBD1 vs. OBD2

I have a VTEC solenoid from a 98 cylinder head, and am wondering if this solenoid will work using an OBD1 wiring harness. The part numbers for the 93 VTEC solenoid and the 99 one are different. Do I need to sell this one and get one that is OBD1?

They are the same. The selenoid that I am using is OBD 2 and my wiring is OBD 1.
