Default K series transmission selection help?

Car: 92 VX Hatch
Powertrain: Stock internaled K24A2 TSX swap w/ bolt-ons and tuning
Tires: Currently 22" slicks, planning on upgrading to either 23's or 24's

Question(s): With an expected trap speed of 110ish mph, which transmission would be best for this set-up? We have concern that the JDM-R transmission will have too tight of gearing and force a 5th gear shift w/ the 7100 rpm redline in the K24 powerplant. If so, which transmission would be better suited for this set-up considering continued power increases in the future?

Type S tranny all the way That mated with some 24 inch slicks and you shouldnt have too much trouble, that should help out with the gearnig.

wouldnt the ep3 tranny be ideal for a k24 set-up since the powerbands are similar?

I trapped 107 mph with a Type S trans. 23" slicks. 4th gear at about 7500 rpm. This was with a k20a2 (bolt ons with 205 whp).

Both of those helped tremendously, but thank you to everyone that replied. After running the various ratios through the calculator it has been decided that the EP3 Si transmission will be the optimal tranny for this drag only application now and in the future. So, does anyone know of any companies offering great deals on Quaife differentials?

I ran a 6 speed on my K24a2 and I wish I would have used the EP3 tranny. I had to go up to 25" M&Hs before I could get it to hook up right. Also I cross the line at the 1/4 way into 5th

ep3 tranny is where its at ... thats what I have and will be using.
