It depends on how good the tuner is and how good the work done on the P&P and building the motor is.

Track numbers?? like Auto-x , drag race?? How good of a driver are you? Weather and track conditions, etc.

Too many variables to give you an exact number

motor's gonna run you more than that if you want the tranny too...
and it's the ITR engine not RSX Type R.

For a fact 5 grand is not enough for the swap to be done. You need custom mounts and I believe a few other goodies like ecu and other mechanical parts. Your other questions are too vague to be answered by anyone. If you search around you can find impressive numbers made by Intrinsic Performances of a built K series motor. Both 2.0,2.2,2.4, and 2.6 motors that they have progressively worked on. All I can recogmend is to look around a bit more, do more research.

5 grand is nothing. I take it you still need to buy the shell because you are un decided. Why an EK or EF? WHy not the EG?? Do more research. ANd keep your "r" motor.

Doing the install yourself will save you quite a bit of money, however it will still cost around $8K from my recollection. I personally like the ek body moreso than the eg. I'd recogmend you visit K20a.org, the site has many who have done this swap. There are many helpfull resources there. This site seems pretty bleak.

K20 motor into any EF EG EK will run your about $8k in parts alone no labor. I was close to doing it but I just bought an RSX-S instead

i was kinda in the same boat as u last week. im gonna have like 14K to build an ej and i wanted to get the k20a from hmotors 4k for motor and tranny... then i found out how much goes into this swap

heres a link to my thread about it
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1442311

the main guy responding has thrown over 20K into his k motor swap. i hope u have deep pockets because ull have to. also. join k20org

instead ive decided that im most likely going to buy a new rsx-s instead because everything will be new. no work. same price.+warentee+ its a new car thats sick+no miles+girls like em more then egs or eks...
in the end for me its just not worth it.

"just on the jdm k20a swap I have spent over $11,000....none of which has made it in my car yet..still have a 'lil to go (another $2000 + labor & tuning)

I know I have spent $20,000 so far NOT including the $9000 I paid a couple of years ago for the car stock

best of luck - this **** WILL get expensive

Yes you will no doubt
My RSX is slow as hell compared to my other hybrid civics I have had in the past.

yea 5k is nothing, i droped a k20a into my 03 si and it was slightly used k20a and parts labor adn everything was 7,300 but thats a great deal cause the place I got it from had 2 k20as sent to them as a down payment for them to buuild a race engine for a guy in domincan republic so they wanted to get rid of them, mugen engine mounts, 6 speed, lsd, ecu, and lots of misc. oh and a multi angle valve job, head honed, cleaned, and yea car just rips!!!!!! good luck wityh only 5k, better off turboing what you got to keep up!

YOu never once stated you had an EK, you asked about times in an EF or EK. Go for the EK then. Good luck with you swap. Let us know how it goes.

5000 is NOT enough money. you seem like you can barely afford the swap, so i suggest that you dont do it. look into a h22 for ur EK. stock h22 in an ek will run high 13's.

i also highly suggest you invest money into some english classes.

your sentences sound like this and its very hard to read and comprehend without rereading certain parts and it makes my eyes hurt and please nitrous oxide is n2o not "nos" and i think you should stop talk
