just doin the typical inspection in the morning and noticed it was cracked right at the weld on the collector . just looks like poor welding , the mild steel didnt crack it cracked right in the middle of the weld. taking the header off i noticed it was cracked 2 other places on the bottom .i welded it up and its fine but jesus that sucks! whos elses has cracked and where?

 

I think someone elses cracked a long time ago and there was a huge writeup, but it may have been Bisi

 

The ANR's have been notorious for that. I thought they had fixed there problem, maybe you have an older version of the header. If I had a dime for everytime I heard of an ANR cracking......

 

Did you have a flex joint or anything?

How was it connected to the rest of the exhaust?

Is the "down pipe" a slip on style or is it all one unit from head flange to exhaust flange?

I've been using a Bisimoto header with the slip on style down pipe. At the end of it I had a stainless braided flex pipe installed and after that a regular 2 bolt flange. Haven't had any problems for over a year.
