I hope you are kidding. Why are your rates high in NJ BTW?

heres a trick you guys should know tho....
get the state minimum on coverage...and the higest deductable
low coverages = less payout higher ded = lower payout
lower ammnt of assumed risk = lower rate

Trust me when I say Jersey rapes you on insurance. I think it's one of the highest states. I'm still insured under Oregon (until my tabs expire) for that reason. And to answer your questions:
24 yr old male
00 GSR
1 accident/no tickets the last three years
$1850/yr

another important question to be asking is where the person is located... i don't have a gsr, but when i moved from a "suburb" to downtown chicago, my rates were to go up more than 20%, so i had to shop around for a different insurer. luckily state farm continues to give college graduates the "good student" discount until age 25. at that point, males leave the really risky demographic and rates drop. the previous insurance company pretty much wanted to hang me out to dry for years 22-25.
good luck,

similarily, having a really high deductible can hurt when you have to repair your own car and have to pay that amount yourself.

ok I'm NOT trying to sound like a dick but asking us will be useless because we 1)live in different areas, 2) are different ages 3) have different driving records, 4)have different types of coverage 5) probably are going w/ different companies, 6)crime rates/theft rates, accidents, etc... are different everywhere...
w/ that said.. for an ACCURATE quote for you.. call your insurance agent and discuss what type of car, coverage, deductables, and premiums would apply for you, your driving record, your geographic area, etc...
w/ that said.. i'll answer your question... but it will have little relevance to you unless your age, location, vehicle, driving record, insurance company, claims/accidents history, coverage amounts, etc.. match mine.. seriously im not trying to be a dick.. but if you want an ACCURATE idea/estimate.. go talk to your agent..
