ITR Suspension Into 2000 Civic SI
I have in my garage the stock Type R spring/shock assembly for all 4 corners (both front and rear for you slow guys). I don't have any of the other suspension pieces left over from installing on my hatch.
Anyhow, would these assemblies fit my brother's 2000 Civic Si model? It looks like the rear assemblies are different in the way that they mount to the lower control arm. Would getting ITR control arms be the difference and would they fit?
What about the fronts? Does the stock fork accomodate the Type R strut/spring assembly with no problem? Discuss please........

i believe the fronts will fit but not the rears. Add ITR rear lower control arm and the rears should then fit, i'm not sure about the rear though.
go for the 22mm rear sway bar (With Beaks or ASR reinforcement kit) and it'll be a fair difference, although the suspension will still feel alittle soft compared to aftermarket, but should feel better then stock.

can anyone confirm this that no control arm can be bought either OEM or aftermarket that would allow the rear suspension assembly (spring and shock) to work?

The DC2/DC2R/EG rear LCAs are different lengths than the EK rear LCAs (longer/shorter, i forget which). This makes the suspension mount points line up differently.
The DC2/DC2R/EG themselves are all the same lengths.

thanks so much. now the next question. is there a control arm that i can buy aftermarket that would allow me to use the rear suspension from a Type R into this 2000 Civic Si? I would think that someone made it somewhere along the line.

As far as I know there is no aftermarket LCA that is like the ITR lca.
