Default RMS wattage

does anyone know the RMS wattage on the 300w mono VR3 amp.

i know it is a cheap wal mart amp, but i want to get my sub moving while i save up, gonna buy a cheap amp and return it in two weeks when i get the money to get a good one.

ive searched all over and all i get is nothing, and i cant find their website either.

What is the brand name of the amp?
If 300 is the "peak power" then 150 or less will be the "RMS" power 94

If you gonna return it in 2 weeks, then why not use a credit card to pay for the amp you want to get in 2 weeks?

i thought about it and figured it was kinda pointless and bought an amp.

boss c550 800w 2 channel

the RMS wattage isnt the highest but im just running 1 12

and for all the bad things ive heard about boss amps, im actually impressed with this one, it doesnt overheat like my audiobahn did and it sounds really nice

Rather than buying some cheap POS Walmart amp that will make you feel sorry you bought it, why not get something good used? Old-school Rockford Fosgate amps can be gotten for around what you would pay for some cheap POS amp from Walmart and are considered great amps to this day. Either the HD series (late 1980's/early 1990's) or the DSM/iX series amps (early to mid 1990's) would be a GREAT way to go. By the way, the DSM/iX series are cheaper used due to a lower 'collectable' value, but are at least as good as the older HD series. Regardless, for the price of a pile of garbage, you can have an amp to be proud of. I guarantee you a Punch 60iX (conservatively rated at 120 watts RMS bridged mono into 4 ohms) will bump way harder than some Walmart POS rated at 300 watts into the same configuration. You can also find one for less than $100.

i already got an amp, this thread is dead.

btw the vr3 isnt that bad sounding if your gains are low, for people who only like a little bass it is a good amp to get.

also, my friend is selling me an alpine amp (dunno which model) and his brand new type r sub for 150

that will replace my boss c550 amp i just bought and ill have two subs, infinity (dunno which model) and alpine type r

his amp should be able to push both

IMO Boss is garbage. If your gonna buy NEW crap , you should of went with Jensen. I have seen , used , and heard all types of crap products. Jensen gets my vote for what you get , for the price you pay. I have a Jensen amp in my closet that I beat the snot out of. It still works , had it hooked up to my Rockford HX's in a bandpass box in a friends car , and they still banged.
