New Alarm + System = DB Lights Gone??
hey all... im a new guy to hondatech.. i decided to join because a lot of my friends are in the forums and a lot recommended it.. so.. i have a 96 integ LS 2 dr that just had a system installed in (alpine MRP-T220 2/1 Channel V-Power + 10 inch eclipse sub[200rms400max or something]) for free and in the process of installing it w/ "amateurs".. we tampered with my old broken alarm that killed the ignition... well... long story short, i got a new alarm system ..vision-something.. that was competition with viper. alarm works fine and so does the system since its finally in correctly. after i had it valeted.. the alarm system stopped working and my dashboard lights turned off.. my friend came over and fixed the lights... fuse messed up or something.. and the guys at the shop fixed the alarm saying fuses were tampered and messed. soo.. everythings ok.. til i was driving home today.. i went a lil too fast down a dip and then my dashboard lights go off again and when i got home.. the alarm doesnt work anymore.. its happened again! is it because of the alarm chirps along w/ the dash lights.. and since it no works.. alarm no works? whats the problem.. i should watch how i drive and careful with the fuses?
Most alarms are going to be tied in with your lighting system usually if you kill the light fuse your alarm might not work unless it is set up on multiple fuses.
ugh.. so it's extra sensitive now ? hMm... so i would have to buy more fuse chip thingys... and watch how i drive.. daym ; ; thats all there to it huh?
They really should not be that sensitive maybe you had a bad install!!I know for a fact that whoever did mine did a shitty job and i've hit some hard stuff before and never blown a fuse? I'd go back and ask the place that you had the system install at and tell them that your alarm keeps blowing fuses.
