Default tire question

i'm looking for some winter tires to put on a set of stock SH rims. but i really dont know much about tire sizes... will a 205/60-16 fit? or can someone just give me a range of sizes that would fit well?

it'll rub, and it'll look ugly..The biggest I would go is P205/55R16 or just go with the stock size of P205/50R16

i had 205/60/16 tires and they rubbed on every bump or when i turned the steering wheel more than 180 degrees.

that would probably rub too. although i have never tried that tire size, it sounds pretty big. why don't you just get some stock size tires?

who's "they"? most tire places have a pretty good selection of tires in that size. you won't find any advan tires at les schwab, but they will have something good enough. 205/50/16 isn't really a performace tire size IMO. if you want better tires, get some 17" wheels with 215/40/17 size tires. they plent of sticky tires in that size, trust me i have some stickies on my 17s...

if you are looking for winter tires then it is better to go with a narrower tire ie 195/55/16 because they work better in the snow

Just get some P205/55R16 tires. Pretty much any tire shop can get that size. Its the size I have on my car now. I got them for free, so I'm not complaining

I run 195/60/R15s on my 95. You can too if you just pick up some steel wheels at a junkyard.

Viking SnowTech 41 bucks each in that size at tiresavings.com. Rated #2 by Consumer Reports last month. Either way they are pretty good...quiet too.
