Yea, its supposed to go with that thing. I'm actually working on it right now, so the progress will be kinda slow.

I'm working with this 12"x24" piece of infused twill weave CF, honeycomb backed.

good effort. a lot of people are too afraid to do homemade stuff on their s2000's because they think they drive ferraris and therefore homemade parts are beneath them.

good to see you are still keeping it real

keep us updated on your progress

Motor is out because a new seamwelded crossmember and radiator support was in order. While it was out I swapped the drivetrain full of Royal Purple, added a Mugen thermostat and fanswitch. It was also time to do some custom intake ducting, and I think I've just figured out a way.

So here's where I'm at. This pic was taken a little before I was done, while there was still light out. Managed to finish the edges, fit it to the radiator, and made holes to attach it to the front support and attached a radiator stay atop that as well. Will show better pics tomorrow; I didn't have any AA batteries for my digicam today.

That intake tube you see to the right was the initial intended placement of the air filter, behind the driverside headlight. It will now be placed next to the headlight, just forward of the radiator, hence the plate being shorter on that side. This is all done with an off-the-shelf AEM CAI.

looks nice...good luck on the project. are you going to be filling in all the empty spots though? it would seem like a wasted effort if the sides weren't filled in.

^^

yeah, make sure it is pretty well sealed. As well as make sure that any any air you want directed to your intake is done also.

CF baffles will be made as attachment to the actual top plate. I do want to route airflow to the radiator and intake only, and when the IC comes in I can make due for that also. Thanks for the comments.

slide:

just to be an ***: what is the purpose of this, or let me refrase: what are your goals with this.
The cooling surface of the radiator is identical, hence no gains to be reached here. Only thing your doing here is diverting the air diagonally against a tilted surface as opposed to the fact that it otherwise hits a full flat surface. if you do not fill the sides of the panel, I bet you lose more then you gain. This setup is functional if you using a V setup for your rad/intercooler. the original setup is pretty much effective as hell, gains only to be reached by replacing the stock rad with a thicker core......

it nevertheless looks cool......

There will be an intercooler there. I'm just thinking ahead.

For now the car will be N/A, hence the funky intake. The intercooler will actually replace that plate, then I'd have to make side shrouds.
