My inspection is due so I decided to clean out all the carbon from the engine before I go for my inspection. Got my bottle of carb cleaner. Let the engine warm up, then unhooked the vacuum line on top of the IM. the idle went crazy so i put it back.

Turned off the car, unhooked it again, and sprayed some. Turned the engine back on, after it bogged a little everything was good. left the engine running this time upplugged the hose and spray real quick for like 7 seconds. put the hose back went to rev it a little and the check engine light was on.

took the ECU fuse out for 15 minutes but no luck.

how do i make it flash the code? I need to get my inspection done.

nevermind, left the battery unhooked for 30 minutes and it fixed it. i guess pulling the fuse doesn't work.

 

Lol, You can do it that way...seems harder if you ask me! Next time, after the CE light comes on just reset your ECU under the dash on the right there is a little button. (Do this while the car is off!) Then the CE light should go off! Anyhow Goodjob .

 

vtec enagment is louder now... Hmmm... if i didn't live in an apartment complex that already hates me i would seafoam the whole thing.
