Quaife makes a nice six-speed sequential gearbox... $15,000.

Sorry.

you can use any transmission off of any f series or h series block, with the exception of the 5th gen prelude type sh and the s2000.....

they will all bolt up to the block.....but the rest of the stuff may not be plug and play....

You can use any F or H series transmission with the H22A except the SH tranny.

why not the s2k tranny? is it the way the engine is mounted in s2k that makes a difference? or is it that it just won't bolt up to the engine?

I believe it's because the engine spins a different way than any other Honda motor except the K series.

Correct me if I'm wrong

ummmm......wow.....that post is a waste of plenty of 1s and 0s......

the s2k motor wont fit bc....hmmm....well the car is ?wd, f or r....oh R, and its like 4 feet long....so you may be able to bolt the output shaft to your passenger side wheel if you extend it a few feet out....

there is no reason that a custom gearbox should cost $15000.....quaife charges too much for metal....

you can put in a F22 tranny in your h22 if you want a longer gear ratio.

honda has some good engineering man, you can bolt up the k-series tranny to the h-series block as long as you have the k-series wormulator shaft in your distributor so it has the right timing at the wheels with the different gearing.

Will a k series distributer bolt on to an h22 or do you have to pull the distributer apart ? This sounds like a good idea though, the lude could really use a 6th gear for the highway. Are there any drawbacks to this, is a k series tranny any less durable than an h22 tranny ?
