Electrical short (BAY AREA, CA) will pay you
Well, this problem is with a Toyota so hopefully it's okay to post here. The problem is my buddy purchased a '95 celica gt auto, its only been 2 weeks and while driving out of town, the car died all of a sudden at a stop light. Trying to restart the car, there is no sound other than the fuel pump priming and fuel coming to the rail. No click or crank. It does have all power and lights though. After checking the dizzy and cap, spark plugs (had some oil) and switched them out to new plugs, starter was taken out to look at and checked out okay, checked all ground wires, replaced the corrosion battery wires and connectors plus sanded down the terminals. I was able to see that the fuse in the engine bay marked "AM2 = starting system" was blown which is a 30. Popped a new 30 fuse in it, had my buddy turn the key to "ON" and the fuse blew right away. So i figure theres a short somewhere. perhaps the ignition? wiring? relay?
Can anyone help? I'm not familiar with electrical for the most part.
or anyone live near FREMONT / EAST BAY AREA, CA?? willing to pay for you to fix the problem.
