Default saying hi...

Im new to the motorcycle forum here, but long time honda-tech poster. I just thought i would stop in and say hi, ill try to post more in here now.

I just picked up my 05 Kawasaki zx6r 636 (in kawi lime green of course) two weeks ago now with 0 miles on it. I love it! What an awesome bike. Not my first bike, but my first new bike. It has 950 miles on it now and its FINALLY almost broken in so i can start exploring the higher end of the rpm band.

My poor s2k never gets driven anymore...haha

not mine, but a better picture of a 05 636.

sick bike man . be sure to get some frame sliders and some flush mounts to get rid of those hideous stock turn signals.

Very nice bike. One of my favorites in the 600cc class (who cares if it's cheating a bit).

Give us a review.

Thanks!! Yeah so far i totally love it. Talk about power! That extra 37cc really makes a different. It pulls strong from 3000rpms on up. From 10k on its pretty insane...

I thought it was going to be pretty uncomfy to ride, but its actually really comfortable. The riding position is great. The seat is pretty good, much nicer then say the 600rr. The brakes are totally insane, they are on another level of amazing. I cant say enough about the brakes...wow.

Id highly recommend one. Any socal people out here? We should go riding sometime!

So the seat is better than the RR's plank?

And would you say the extra CC's help in the low-end, torque wise (say, when just riding around the city and you don't want to rev the crap out of your bike)?

How's the handling? Shaky, steady, confidence inspiring or is the skill or Rossi required?

Anything is better then the 600RR Plank...

Night and Day Differnce in the power feel...

My 2003 is shaky, More so then the 600RR, But the 05' (like his) Is alot more stable!

And those 2005 Zx6Rs are so Sexy!

I thought the 03's were sexier, or at least their tail. But I'm a practical guy, so I would probably go with the 05. That or a 954.

a friend of mine just picked up the '06 636,the seat is way more comfortable than my 600rr,other than the seat i dont really like the bike,it seems too "bulky" for my liking.also dont like the front upper fairing.but it did get a score of 9/10

like the dude above,i think the '03's better looking

Everyone could benefit from a steering damper.

I think that mod is a must, aside from an exhaust, PC3, K&N air filter, and frame sliders. Oh and undertail.

Do it man.
Your ride will feel even smoother and more balanced than it already does, and it's a worthwhile investment (considering it helps to greatly reduce a tank slapper).
I've never had a real bad tank slapper, but I'd hate myself if I had a sweet *** bike, and did, knowing a steering damper could have avoided it all.
